Nearly every day one sees reports of elderly and vulnerable pensioners being robbed of their life savings by so called “Rogue Traders” who if caught are rightly prosecuted and sentenced to many years imprisonment. But no such punishment exists for the ever growing number of Unscrupulous Park Owners,(UPO) who can only be classed as “Rogue Traders” on a grand scale, free to rip off their captive victims (park homeowners) safe and secure in the knowledge that, with the blessing of this Government, they enjoy almost total immunity from prosecution by means of the above loophole riddled Law. (MHAct) Whereas the ordinary citizen who has been conned out of their savings, suffers harassment or bullying, at the hands of a “rogue Trader” or dubious Landlord, can turn to the Police or the Local Authorities, even the Media, for protection, no such remedy is available to the devastated and helpless park home resident. Thanks to this Governments continued pandering to the demands of the park home industry via the constant lobbying carried out on behalf of park owners by the all powerful BH&HPA and NPHC, the park home industries trade organisations, supported by their very “clever” legal teams, a growing number of park homeowners are losing both their homes and life savings to unscrupulous park owners everyday. A version of “Robin Hood” is alive and thriving throughout the park homes industry except that the Government backed 2009 modern version of Robin Hood “ROBS THE POOR TO GIVE TO THE RICH.”!!! Ron.
